We will only take pvt uni’s that will teach new things: CM

The Chief Minister announced though our university was there the government had invited private universities into the state, subject to them teaching new things. He assured that that they would take care while selecting these universities and as of now had selected only design and skill universities among all.

He was speaking at a function to confer State Teachers Awards for Excellence in Higher Education by the Directorate of Higher Education at Goa University Dona Paula today.

The Chief Minister expressed his happiness that the teachers who strive to mould the future of future generations. He said that that in the last two years, the felicitation of teachers was delayed due to the ongoing pandemic.

Sawant suggested that the academics and administration needs to work in tandem to ensure a bright future of our future generation.

Whatever is done in academics should reflect in administration, he said, adding that there is a provision made in the budget of higher education to support youth who seek to venture into research.
